Peony

Scientific Name: Paeonia hybrids

Category: Flowers and Foliages

Description:
Peonies are hardy perennials that may survive in the landscape for decades. The large heads of showy, fragrant flowers bloom in late spring. They have been long associated with Memorial Day as the flowers have been used for cemetery decorations. The blooms may have a single row of petals or large heads of hundreds of petals. The flowers may be white, pink, yellow, salmon, or shades of red.
