Apricot

Scientific Name: Prunus armeniaca

Category: Fruits and Nuts

Description:
Apricots grow on woody trees. The single leaf has a toothed edge. Apricots are one of the first fruit trees to bloom in the spring. Late spring freezes may destroy the fruits. The fruit contains a pit and has a soft texture when mature.
