Ruby Recipient Announced

The Distinguished Service Ruby Award is the highest and most prestigious recognition presented by Epsilon Sigma Phi and is designed to recognize truly outstanding thinking, performance and leadership in Extension.  Kansas is honored to recognize the following Distinguished Service Ruby recipients.

Dr. Daryl Buchholz, presented at Galaxy Conference and Epsilon Sigma Phi National Conference, Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, September 18, 2013.  To share in the message that Dr. Buchholz delivered to those in attendance at the Galaxy IV National Meeting go to Buchholz Ruby Lecture.

Harry Umberger received Distinguished Service Ruby in 1942.  At that time there was not a national meeting like today.  The national council met in conjunction with NASULGC Annual Conference/ECOP meetings. as officers of ESP were normally an administrator from either a state or from USDA.
